Meet Chantel!

Chantel Newman is a rising senior at Xavier College Preparatory, where she maintains a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.604 weighted GPA while pursuing a rigorous AP curriculum. She is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as President of Students for Social Action, where she grew membership from 10 to 140 students and has led several community service initiatives.

A varsity cross-country athlete, student ambassador, and member of the Scottsdale Mayor's Youth Council, Chantel is passionate about leadership, civic engagement, and creating positive change. She has completed more than 350 hours of community service and serves on the MORIAH Peer Advisory Board, supporting children with special needs.

Chantel's interest in emerging technology and education led her to conduct her AP Research study on How GenAI Impacts Teens' Curiosity. She recently participated in Arizona's first Tech Week, where she presented her research findings and joined conversations about the future of AI and learning. As a student researcher, she is particularly passionate about the enhanced learning, creativity, and human potential.
