Digital First Responder Training

A Digital First Responder is someone who knows how to address negativity, report inappropriate behavior, and support friends and peers on social media. They are trained to navigate the digital world and create positive online communities.

The program is designed for student leaders and educators, including teachers, counselors, school resource officers, administrators, school stakeholder groups, and coaches.

The workshop is two hours long and covers the latest social media apps, trends, and reporting procedures, tools to empower and protect students online, how students can create allies online, and case studies, strategies, and best practices to empower students to navigate the challenging and awkward situations they experience in the digital world.

Participants will receive a full digital training workbook that includes all the materials needed to teach others to become Digital First Responders. The workbook includes interactive activities, case studies, and best practices.

The program will equip your students with the skills and knowledge needed to create safe and positive online communities, while also helping you fulfill your duty of care as an educator. Additionally, student leaders will develop valuable digital literacy and leadership skills that will benefit them in their future academic and professional endeavors.
