Annual Internship

Annual Lead Interns

Our annual lead internship is for students interested in learning about the business, skills, and vision involved in running a nonprofit. Ideal Applicants are seniors in high school, undergraduates, and graduate students. Through this year-long commitment (June to June), students will become familiar with the business aspects of a nonprofit, attain valuable skills relating to their area of focus, and learn to delegate tasks to our growing organization of volunteers.
Intern Time commitment: 1 year | 4-6 hours/week
Requirements:
- Age: Typically 18+
- Length of Term is June to June, 1 year
- Create and organize monthly meetings with all other Interns/SpecialistsÂ
- Organize weekly texts/updates with Executive Team
- Attend 75% of the pre-scheduled monthly meetings for Interns on the 4th Sunday of the monthÂ
- Attend 75% of Committee Meetings, with Specialists, held on the 3rd Sunday of each month
- Collect monthly updates and matrix stats from the Intern Team and report to the Executive Director
- Communicate directly with Intern Coordinator, Lead Intern, and Executive Director about team meetings Â
- Ask Interns, Specialists, Volunteers, Steering Committee Members, Mentors, Board Directors, and Executive Director for support when needed
- Build and foster relationships with Mentors from companies such as: Twitter, Google, Facebook, etc.Â
- Actively engage on social media pages and demonstrate positive engagement by commenting, liking, resharing, shouting out our pages, etc
- On rare occasions, students are responsible for their own travel expenses to any in-person meetings at this time. Digital4Good will provide meals

Specialists will be put into committees (teams) where they will be matched with one of our lead interns based on their interests and areas of expertise. In these committees (teams), the lead interns will assign projects and tasks that should be completed each month. Specialists will have the opportunity to gain monthly mentorship and networking experience from industry leaders during their required monthly committee (team) calls.Â
Specialist Time commitment: 1 year | 2-4 hours/week
Requirements:
- Ages 13+
- Length of Term is June to June, 1 year
- Commitment of 2-4 hours a week for working on assignments and checking your Digital4Good emails
- 75% attendance rate of virtual monthly meetings with committee (team) held on the 3rd Sunday of each month
- Communicate with your committee (team) Intern to keep them updated on the progress of your assignments/projects. Ask for support as needed
- Build relationships with your committee (team) Mentor
- Be active with our social media profiles and demonstrate positive engagement by commenting, liking, re-sharing, shouting out our pages, etc
- Responsible for any travel expenses to in-person meetings. Digital4Good will provide meals
Knowledge & Skills:
- Able to communicate with phone calls, emails, and other messaging across multiple devices
- Able to initiate and maintain strong personal relationships with your committee and lead intern
- Meet assignment/project deadlines and maintain an organized scheduleÂ
- Utilize creativity to develop new programs or solutions, and see them through to fruition

Seasonal Internship
Our seasonal internship is for college students who want to gain work experience and earn college credit. Tell us what you’re interested in (video production, graphic design, writing, marketing, social media, etc.) and we’ll pair you up with the right team. Master new skills and make new friends as you help us spread online positivity. (College credit not required to participate)
Time commitment: 6 Months | 6-10 hours/week
Requirements:
- Age: Typically 18+
- Length of Term is extendable to longer than 6 months
- Participate in weekly Team meetings with other seasonal team interns
- Manage projects and project updates using our online Project Manager tool
- Attend 75% of the pre-scheduled weekly meetings
- Communicate directly with team lead
- Ask for support when needed
- Build and foster relationships with other seasonal team interns, annual team interns, and admin staff
- Actively engage on official #ICANHELP social media pages and demonstrate positive engagement by commenting, liking, resharing, shouting out our pages, etc
- On rare occasions, students are responsible for their own travel expenses to any in-person meetings at this time. #ICANHELP will provide meals
