About Dheirya
Dheirya Tyagi is a senior at Bernards High School passionate about using technology and leadership to empower others. Beyond founding Simple Explanations, they serve as President of the Tech & Robotics Club, lead cybersecurity research through an internship with the NJCCIC, and tutor peers globally through Schoolhouse.world and Stanford’s Code in Place. They also enjoy building creative projects in computer science and compete as a varsity swimmer, tennis player, and cross country runner.

Simple Explanations is an educational initiative dedicated to making advanced STEM topics accessible for students worldwide. With over 55 videos and 35,000+ learners on its YouTube channel, the project uses hand-drawn visuals and conversational teaching to make complex subjects easier to grasp. Expanding beyond video lessons, the project offers a website with AI-powered review quizzes, curated resources, and free tutoring sessions—helping students build confidence and find joy in learning.
