Digital4Good Leads the Charge During a Tumultuous Election Year

By: Makenzie Gaines, Seasonal Public Relations Intern | Digital4Good

In the midst of a tumultuous election year, Digital4Good stands as a beacon for promoting digital literacy and wellness. As families across the nation prepare for a new school year, the significance extends beyond academics to include navigating the complex digital landscape that influences students' lives.

How Digital4Good Is Empowering Families

This election year, preparing students to vote is more crucial than ever. However, the sheer volume of information online, coupled with misinformation, deepfakes, and AI-generated content, can be overwhelming. Digital4Good recognizes these challenges and aims to support families with an array of free resources.

Equipping Students and Families

“As we navigate this critical time, our mission at Digital4Good is more important than ever,” says Kim Karr, executive director and co-founder of Digital4Good. “We are committed to equipping students, educators, and families with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in today’s digital world. By fostering digital wellness and literacy, we aim to create a safer, more positive online environment for everyone, especially during such a pivotal election year.”

Digital4Good stays current on new education laws and their implications for students, parents, and educators. Remaining informed about these changes is vital, as legislation can significantly affect learning environments and opportunities. Digital4Good’s team of student leaders and interns publishes weekly blog articles to keep families informed and vigilant.
