Watch students and industry professionals come together to elevate youth voices and advance digital solutions at sixth annual summit.

Information about the Event

On February 5, 2024, the youth-led nonprofit Digital4Good will celebrate eight student innovators who are using technology to solve educational, social and economic issues at the sixth annual Digital4Good Summit in New York City at Google. The ALL RISE Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization founded by New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, will be collaborating with Digital4Good to host this event. Judge received the Roberto Clemente Award in October for his work with ALL RISE and Digital4Good.

The two-day summit in February will feature a fast-paced mix of panels, performances, and award presentations from the spotlighted students, social media influencers, and major technology companies. Unlike most student awards programs, the Digital4Good Summit is presented by students to students who are on the vanguard of driving positive change in the online sphere.

“The Digital4Good Summit is a movement that celebrates student voices and youth leadership,” says Kim Karr, co-founder of Digital4Good. “It empowers, educates and inspires student innovators to use technology and social media to advance causes such as education for disadvantaged youth, mental health support and awareness, and digital accessibility maps.”

While the summit happens once a year, its impact extends year-round. At the summit, winners share their messages with a global network of over 10K students, teachers and professionals. Winners are also paired with industry mentors to support the student-created organizations’ and innovations’ continued growth.

“Our goal in recognizing and uplifting these students is to educate and spread awareness of digital safety so our students can continue using Digital4Good. We all need to do our part to ensure our youth are safe to create,” Karr adds. “At the summit, we’ll also have presentations from tech companies, organizations, and educators on how they’re working to make our online world a safer place. This year’s event is right before Safer Internet Day, so it’s a perfect opportunity to raise awareness around this critical issue.”

With such an important message, Digital4Good x #ICANHELP would love to see you involved in the process. This includes a variety of ways, whether it is organizing your own watch party to view the vast sources of knowledge that experts and individuals share at this, pushing it out in your own communities and companies, mentoring, or by involving yourself in Digital4Good’s mission.
