June Students4Good Recap: A Peer to Peer Monthly Webinar for Students

June is a month of lively joy and appreciation, as we embrace the beauty of the season and think about the wonders of life. It's a time to celebrate the preciousness of existence and recognize those who bring positivity to our world. In this spirit, we want to highlight the amazing contributions of Adam Chen, Madison Lee, and Landon Wolfe. These incredible individuals have committed themselves to making a lasting impact in their communities. Despite their young age, Adam, Madison, and Landon show unwavering commitment in spreading happiness and creating opportunities.

Peace Clothing

Adam Chen is a driven young individual from Guangdong, China. He currently lives in San Lorenzo, CA, and is the CEO/Founder of Peace Clothing. Currently studying at UCSD, Adam is a passionate advocate for positive change in society. He identifies prevalent issues in today's world and sets out to address them through his small business venture.

Peace Clothing operates with a unique approach. Not only does it provide beneficial products to buyers, but it also commits to giving back to the community. 15% of the company's sales are dedicated to supporting various charitable causes.

Driven by the pursuit of continuous improvement, Adam strives to enhance Peace Clothing on a daily basis. He actively participates in networking opportunities, expands his connections, and seeks collaborations that will further enhance brand awareness. By doing so, Adam fosters a sense of community among like-minded individuals who share his passion for making a positive impact on the world.

Adam's vision for Peace Clothing extends far beyond fashion. His ultimate goal is to create a movement, inspiring others to join the cause and contribute to a better society.

Printing the Future

Madison Lee is a junior at Los Altos High School in California and the CEO/Founder of Printing the Future. She is passionate about empowering individuals and fostering a future driven by creativity and innovation.

Madison's journey began when she took an engineering elective class in middle school. She was mesmerized by the machine and gained a passion for STEM and 3D printing. Thus, Printing the Future was born–a visionary project aimed at providing 3D printing summer camps and resources. Madison's vision is to establish an inclusive and encouraging space where people of all ages, backgrounds, and genders could dive into the world of 3D printing. With the support of the Dragon Kim Foundation, Printing the Future offers many opportunities and is an inspiration for aspiring innovators.

Madison's outreach efforts extend beyond her local community. Through physical flyers, social media campaigns, and collaborations with news outlets, she expands the reach of Printing the Future far and wide. By leveraging the power of technology and media, Madison has been able to connect with students and educators, encouraging them to embrace the world of 3D printing and unlock their creative potential.

Looking forward, Madison wants to have recurring workshops and online tutorials, allowing even more individuals to explore the world of 3D printing. Her ultimate goal is to establish a physical Makerspace, a place where individuals can gather, learn, and collaborate.

In addition to Printing the Future, Madison is the Lead & Sponsorship Director of Los Altos Hacks and the President/Founder of Helping Hands. Through her various leadership positions and projects, Madison is igniting a passion for innovation and more opportunities for women in STEM.

Toy Unity

Landon Wolfe is a rising senior at East Union High School in Manteca, CA. He is Senior Class President, the Manteca City Ambassador, and the CEO/Founder of Toy Unity. Landon’s mission is to brighten the lives of children at Valley Children's Hospital in Madera, CA. Inspired by his own personal journey and as a way of giving back, Landon started Project Toy Unity—an extraordinary toy drive that brings joy and unity to young patients in need.

The concept behind Toy Unity is simple yet powerful. Landon recognized the tremendous impact that Valley Children's Hospital had on his life and felt compelled to make a difference for other children facing challenging circumstances. By organizing a toy drive, Landon aimed to bring smiles to the faces of young patients and provide them with a sense of comfort during their hospital stay.

Community involvement has been key to the success of Toy Unity. Landon rallied local businesses and community members to participate in the initiative by donating toys at designated collection bins placed inside various stores. To spread the word about Toy Unity, Landon employed a multi-faceted approach. He utilized his social media platforms to raise awareness and engage with the community. Additionally, Landon reached out to local newspapers, news stations, and radio stations, leveraging their platforms to share the mission of Toy Unity and inspire others to get involved. By collaborating with local stores and creating an Amazon Wishlist, Landon made it convenient for community members to contribute to the cause. This way, anyone is able to order an item from the wishlist and it is shipped directly to Landon’s home!

Looking ahead, Landon plans to start collecting toys for his next donation during the upcoming Christmas season. His goal is to collect more toys than last time and keep making a larger impact on children's lives!

Here are our top three takeaways from this event:

  • Community engagement and collaboration are key - Adam, Madison, and Landon recognize the importance of community involvement. Their communities supported their missions and contributed to the cause
  • Personal connections - All three individuals were passionate about their project and driven by personal connections to it
  • Commitment - Adam, Madison, and Landon were committed to their projects and cause, which kept pushing them forward. They keep improving and making a bigger impact in their communities
